Hooded Warbler (Wilsonia citrina), Sierra Vista, Cochise County

This male Hooded Warbler was photographed by Nancy Docherty as it foraged in her newly overturned vegetable garden in downtown Sierra Vista on 27 March 2009.  It was last seen on 2 April 2009.  

Casual to rare mostly spring transient and summer visitor.  A former review species, reports have increased over the last few years and there are now multiple reports every year. 

Adult males like this are stunning and unmistakable.
