Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea), Slaughter Ranch, Cochise County

This Prothonotary Warbler was photographed by Linda Krueger on 11 May 2009 at the Slaughter Ranch east of Douglas. 

Prothonotary Warbler is a rare transient throughout Arizona, but occurs annually.

Note the orange-yellow body contrasting with the plain blue-gray wings.
