Berylline Hummingbird (Amazilia beryllina), Chiricahua Mountians, Cochise County

This Berylline Hummingbird was photographed by Chris West on 13 June 2009 coming to a feeder at Campsite 5 of Stewart Campground in the Chiricahua Mountains. 

Berylline Hummingbird is a rare but increasing summer visitor to the mountains of SE Arizona.  It has bred.

Green hummingbird with reddish bill and diagnostic flash of rufous in the wings.
