Hooded Warbler (Wilsonia citrina), Empire Gulch, Pima County

This Hooded Warbler was discovered by James McKay on 10 June 2009 and photographed by Duane Nelson on 17 June 2009.

Casual to rare mostly spring transient and summer visitor. A former review species, reports have increased over the last few years and there are now multiple reports every year.

Adult males like this are stunning and unmistakable.
