Lucifer Hummingbird (Calothorax lucifer), Dragoon Mt. Ranch foothills, western slope elev. 4720', Cochise County

A Lucifer Hummingbird appeared in Arlene Ripley's backyard in the Dragoon Mountains on 9 August 2009.  It was joined by a second male on 12 August 2009.  These photographs were taken by Arlene Ripley on 11 August 2009.

Lucifer Hummingbird is a casual summer visitor in Arizona away from the one regular site in Ash Canyon.
