Long-tailed Duck (Clangula hyemalis), Page Sewage Treatment Plant, Coconino County

This first winter Long-tailed Duck was discovered and photographed by Shaun Putz on 15 December 2009.

Long-tailed Duck is a rare but fairly regular winter visitor to Arizona.

A mostly white diving duck with breast and back dark brown, whitish scapular patch, and small stubby bill with pink band.
