Broad-winged Hawk (Buteo platypterus), Tres Rios Hayfield site, Maricopa County

This adult Broad-winged Hawk was photographed by Jeff Ritz on 14 January 2010. 

Accidental in winter in Arizona, and most of the US as well.

Rufous barred underparts, short tail with broad white bands.
