Horned Grebe (Podiceps auritus), El Dorado Golf Club, Gilbert Maricopa County

This Horned Grebe was discovered and photographed by Tommy DeBardeleben on 11 February 2010 at the El Dorado Golf Club on 11 February 2010, which is on Guadalupe Road, with McQueen and Country Club Roads being the two main cross streets nearest this location.

Rare transient and winter visitor.

This is a poor photo due to distance, but it does show the white face and neck well.  In the second photo, you can just see the white tip to the bill.
