Red-necked Grebe (Podiceps grisegena), Colorado River above Lee's Ferry, Coconino County

This Red-necked Grebe was photographed by Shaun Putz on 05 January 2010 during the Page, AZ Christmas Bird Count. This bird was a few miles above Lee's Ferry on the Colorado River.

There are only about 10 previous records from Arizona.

Note yellow bill and dusky neck.
