Chestnut-sided Warbler (Dendroica pensylvanica), Rio Salado, Maricopa County

This Chestnut-sided Warbler was discovered and photographed by Tommy DeBardeleben on 13 December 2010 at the Rio Salado near the beginning of the waterfall trail and again on 22 December 2010 by Robert Bowker.

Rare in Arizona, but with regular and perhaps increasing reports.

Eye ring, light bill, bright greenish-yellow on it's entire head, light yellowish wing bars. This is a first fall bird, but is likely a first fall female due to the lack of chestnut on the sides.
