Berylline Hummingbird (Amazilia beryllina), Beatty's Miller Canyon Guest Ranch, Cochise County

This Berylline Hummingbird was photographed by Charles Melton on 15 May 2010 at the Controlled Access Site (CAS) at Beatty's Miller Canyon Guest Ranch.  A Berylline was first reported at the this location this year by Tom Beatty on 10 May 2010. 

Berylline Hummingbird is a rare but increasing summer visitor to the mountains of SE Arizona. It has bred.

Note green body and diagnostic rufous wing panels.
