Harris's Hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus), Dewey, Prescott Country Club, Yavapai County

This Harris's Hawk was first reported on 1 January 2010 by Walt Anderson and was photographed by Jason Temple on 17 March 2010.

Harris's Hawk is accidental in the Prescott area with no recent records.  It is a popular species with falconers, but this bird shows no jesses or bands that would otherwise indicate it is an escaped falconer's bird.
