Lawrence's Goldfinch (Carduelis lawrencei), Hassayampa Preserve, Maricopa County

This pair of Lawrence's Goldfinches is nesting at the Hassayampa Preserve.  They were photographed by Debbie Rasmussen on 10 April 2010.

There are only a few nesting records of Lawrence's Goldfinches in Arizona, most along the Colorado River, although they were suspected of nesting at this location in 1980.
