Painted Redstart (Latin Name), Sweetwater Wetlands, Pima County

This Painted Redstart was photographed by Pat Goltz on 22 March 2010

Although the species is listed as V (very rare) in the bird list for Sweetwater Wetlands, I am not able to find any records for southern Arizona in the database. I saw only a single individual.

Common breeding bird of the high country of Arizona, but casual during migration in the lowlands away from the mountains. 

Unmistakable.
