Dickcissel (Spiza americana), Anza Trail, about 0.5 miles south of the Tubac Bridge, Santa Cruz County

This Dickcissel was discovered and photographed by Gary Graves on 20 September 2010.

Rare fall migrant in Arizona.  Perhaps increasing.  This has been a banner year for this species in Arizona.

Yellow eyebrow and upper breast.  Rusty shoulder.  Black malar stripe.
