Blackburnian Warbler (Dendroica fusca), Morgan City Wash, just downstream of Lake Pleasant, Maricopa County

This Blackburnian Warbler was discovered and photographed by Troy Corman on 11 September 2010

Fewer than 20 records, nearly all in October.  This is at least the second record at this location.

Likely a first fall female with dull, yellowish wash on throat, upper breast and relatively broad supercillium; also distinct dark auricular region. Most similar to first fall female Townsend's warbler which is typically brighter yellow with darker auriculars.
