Dickcissel (Spiza americana), Rotary Park, Lake Havasu City, Mohave County

This Dickcissel was discovered by David Vander Pluym and Lauren Harter and photographed by David Vander Pluym on 17 October 2010.

Rare fall migrant, casual in October.  This has been a very good year for this species in Arizona.  This is the 7th documented report to AZFO this year. 

Dark lateral throat stripe.  Yellow upper breast.
