olive-sided flycatcher (Contopus cooperi), Highlands Center for Natural History, Yavapai CountyThis bird was first seen by Karen O'Neil and Sue Burk on 6 December 2010, and photographed in the same location by Steve Burk on 7 December 2010. Seen on the trail to Lynx creek in Highlands Center, Prescott. Olive-sided flycatchers have generally left the US by mid-October and are
casual to accidental in the US anywhere after that time. Has dark "open vest" with white chest. Orange lower mandible
with dark tip. Peaked head. No eye ring. White rump patch shows in some photos. Sat at top of large snag and sallied out and back fly catching.
