Broad-tailed Hummingbird (Selasphorus platycercus), Prescott, Yavapai County

The Broad-tailed Hummingbird was found at the home of Nancy and Art Silacci in the Williamson Valley area outside Prescott. It was seen first on 11 November 2010 and was photographed on 24 December 2010.  The last time it was seen was on a snowy day, 30 December 2010, the same day two aggressive Anna's Hummingbirds moved in.

Accidental in winter.

Green back, buffy sides, neatly spangled throat and cheeks.
