Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius), La Posta Quemada Ranch, Pima County

This Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was discovered by John Yerger, Keith Kamper, and Jerry Bock on 9 February 2011 and photographed by Andrew Core on 14 February 2011.

Rare fall transient and winter visitor. A few reported every year.

No red on nape, butter-yellow color to back feathers, solid black border to throat.
