Blackpoll Warbler (Dendroica striata), North end of Lake Havasu, Mohave County

This Blackpoll Warbler was discovered by Lauren Harter and photographed by David Vander Pluym on 18 May 2011.

Blackpoll Warbler is a casual spring and rare fall vagrant to Arizona with about 25 records in all; most records are in the fall.

Adult male in breeding plumage has a black cap, white cheek, black malar; throat, chest and underparts are crisp white with streaking on the sides. Legs are pale. Two white wingbars.
