Fan-tailed Warbler (Euthlypis lachrymosa), Madera Canyon, Santa Cruz County

This Fan-tailed Warbler was discovered by Gary Rosenberg on 23 May 2011 and photographed by Laurens Halsey, Jerome Smith and Richard Fray on the same day. 

Casual visitor to Southeast Arizona. There are seven previous records.  The most recent accepted record was from Patagonia in 1997.

Unmistakable.  Gray with yellow-orange underparts and yellow crown stripe.  Three white spots on face, long, expressive white-tipped tail.
