Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis), Scottsdale, Maricopa County

This Gray Catbird was discovered by Mark Larson on 2.34 June 2011 in his backyard in Scottsdale and he photographed it on 24 June 2011.

Gray Catbird is a casual visitor anywhere in Arizona other than a few riparian areas in the White Mountains and, even there, it is uncommon.

Slate gray bird with a distinctive black cap. It also has a black tail and rufous undertail coverts.
