Yellow-throated Vireo (Vireo flavifrons), Verde River-Childs, AZ, Yavapai County

This Yellow-throated Vireo was discovered and photographed by Carl Lundblad on 18 August 2011 along the east Verde River near Childs, Arizona.

Rare, but regular transient and summer visitor, with 27 previously accepted records and one pending record, averaging about one record per year.  This is the third record for Yavapai County. 

Yellow throat and spectacles.  Vireo bill.
