Bobolink (Dolichonyx oryzivorus), Rotary Park, Mohave County

This Bobolink was discovered by David Rankin and Lauren Harter on 21 September 2011 and photographed by David Vander Pluym on 22 September 2011

Once a rare, but regular fall migrant and occasional breeder in Eastern Arizona, Bobolink in recent years has become very rare and was added to the list of review species.   This is only the 4th documented report to AZFO.

Bright buffy yellow overall, striped back and crown, with a dark eye line and gray lores
