Orchard Oriole (Icterus spurius), PebbleCreek, Maricopa County

This Orchard Oriole was seen at a private residence in the gated community of PebbleCreek, Goodyear on September 12, 2011 and was photographed by Barbara Meding on 12 September 2011. According to the owners, the bird has been visiting their hummingbird feeder for the past week.

Orchard oriole is a casual transient in Arizona, mostly in late spring and summer with a few winter records.

Adult males are unmistakable.
