Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe), Tolleson, Maricopa County

This Eastern Phoebe was discovered and photographed by Bill Grossi on 27 October 2011.

Rare migrant and winter visitor in Arizona.

Dark brown above, white below, with creamy yellow belly indicating a probable first year bird in fresh fall plumage. Tail strongly notched and "pumped" almost continuously. Darker head, weak wing-bars.
