Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe), Parker, La Paz County

This Eastern Phoebe was discovered and photographed by Henry Detwiler on 18 January 2012 at Twelvemile Slough which is 12.5 miles south of Parker on the Colorado River Indian Tribes reservation. 

Rare but regular winter visitor to Arizona with several usually reported every year.  This is the second report from the Lower Colorado River Valley this year.

Dark cap, no eye ring, rounded head, pale throat, white below, and weak wing bars.
