Orchard Oriole (Icterus spurius), Boyce Thompson Arboretum picnic area, Pinal County

This Orchard Oriole was discovered by Andree Tarby and Marceline VandeWater leading a bird walk on 17 November 2012 and was photographed by Richard Ditch and Pete Baum on 18 November 2012.

Orchard oriole is a casual transient in Arizona, mostly in late spring and summer with a few winter records.

Female is a small, greenish oriole with a fine, almost warbler-like, bill.
