Leucistic American Pipit (Anthus rubescens), Santa Cruz Flats, Pinal County

This leucistic American Pipit was photographed by Pierre Deviche on 03 March 2012.  It likely accounts for earlier reports of Snow Bunting at this location. 

Rarely observed/documented leucistic American Pipit.

Typical pipit behavior, size, body proportions, and habitat. Seen feeding among "normal" conspecifics.
