Leucisitic Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicencis), Lower Elgin Road, Santa Cruz County

This leucistic Red-tailed Hawk has been present for sevral weeks in this location.  It was photographed by Dick Dionne on 18 January 2012.

This type of leucisism is noy unusual in Red-tailed Hawks, but is always striking to see.
