Least Tern (Sternula antillarum), Glendale Recharge Ponds, Maricopa County

This Least Tern was discovered and photographed by Nathan Williams on 29 April 2012

Least Tern once was a casual visitor to the state.  It then became nearly annual, especially and Gilbert Water Ranch and Willcox,  and even bred at these ponds in 2010.  However, this is the frist documented report submitted to AZFO since 2010, suggesting that is may have become more rare again.
