Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum), Morgan City Wash, Maricopa County

This Brown Thrasher was discovered and photographed by Troy Corman on 07 April 2012

Rare, but possibly increasing migrant and winter visitor to Arizona

The bright rufous nape, back, wings and tail, separate this from the darker more brownish upper parts of the Long-billed Thrasher.  Flesh base to lower mandible is diagnostic.
