Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea), San Pedro River Riparain, Cochise County

This Prothonotary Warbler was discovered and photographed by Troy Allshouse on 15 May 2012.

Prothonotary Warbler is a rare but annual transient in the state.

Note the bright yellow head and body, grayish-bluish wings without wingbars, and white undertail coverts.
