Common Tern (Sterna hirundo), Hart Mine Marsh, Cibola National Wildlife Refuge, La Paz County

This Common Tern was discovered and photographed by Henry Detwiler on 09 June 2012

Regular fall migrant through the lower Colorado River Valley, but casual at other times. 

Dark carpal bar and blackish primaries separate this bird from Forster's Tern.
