Casual fall transient and winter visitor to streams in middle elevation canyons, particularly along the Mexican border.

Bold white supercilium broadening behind the eyes, clear white throat (no spotting or streaking), sparse breast streaking (compared to Northern Waterthrush), and buffy flanks.
