24 September 2012 by Laurens Halsey, Andrew Core and
Arlene Ripley. Rare migrant (usually spring), except in the Lower Colorado River Valley where it is considered uncommon. Striped head (dark eye-stripe, white supercillium, dark lateral crown stripes, & white median crown stripe), gray-brown tones overall versus cinnamon tones of Long-billed Curlew, and the not as impressive curved bill.
