Ruddy Ground-Dove (Columbina talpacoti), Gilbert Water Ranch, Maricopa County

This Ruddy Ground-Dove was photographed by Gordon Karre on 21 October 2012

Species is listed as a 'sketch' species on the AZFO web site. This bird was found within a flock about 2 dozen Inc Doves in the plowed sod on the south side of Pond 5.

Status and Distribution Information:

Clear unmarked nape and breast; black linear markings on scapulars, rufous coloration on rump and tail.
