Zone-tailed Hawk (Buteo albonotatus), Green Valley Park in Payson, Gila County

This Zone-tailed Hawk (Buteo albonotatus) was discovered by Eric Hough and Samantha Dorr and photographed by Eric Hough on 17 February 2013.

Accidental in winter north of the Phoenix area (where it is casual to rare in winter), possibly the northernmost winter record in the state (?).

Turkey Vulture mimic with long, banded tail, yellow feet.
