Broad-winged Hawk (Buteo platypterus), Morgan City Wash, Maricopa County

This Broad-winged Hawk was discovered by Troy Corman and Justin Jones and photographed by Justin Jones on 04 May 2013.

Casual in spring in Arizona, but increasingly reported in recent years in Arizona and throughout the western US.  There have already been several reports this spring. 

Broad black and white tail bars.
