Plain-capped Starthroat (Heliomaster constantii), Private Yard, Green Valley, Pima County

This Plain-capped Starthroat was found at a private residence in Green Valley where it was seen from about June 10 to July 8. The photographer wishes to remain anonymous.

Rare summer visitor, but annual over the last several years.

Long bill, white lower back and bold white facial streaks.
