Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster), Below Imperial Dam, Yuma County

This Brown Booby was discovered and photographed by David Vander Pluym on 05 August 2013 in the area below Imperial Dam while searching for the Sooty Shearwater reported earlier in the day.

Seven previously accepted records. 

Young bird. Dark brown above including the tail, as well as the pale underwing coverts and belly rule out other species of boobies.
