Clark's Nutcracker (Nucifraga columbiana), Meadow Trail, Upper Mt. Lemmon, Pima County

This Clark_s Nutcracker was photographed by Jeremy Medina on 13 October 2013.  This species was first reported on 9 October 2013 on Mt. Lemmon along Bear Wallow Rd by Susan Birky. Others have since reported them from Mt. Bigelow Rd, the Palisades Visitor Center, and the Meadow Trail at the top of Mt. Lemmon.

Casual wanderer to Southeast Arizona, mainly in the fall. Most records are from the Chiricahua and Huachuca Mountains.

Unmistakable.
