Laughing Gull (Leucophaeus atricilla), Gilbert Riparian Preserve at the Water Ranch, Maricopa County

This Laughing Gull was discovered and photographed by Bernard Howe on 28 October 2013.

There are fewer than 25 records and this may be only the second for Maricopa County.

Winter adult.  Dark auricular spot, black bill and dark wing tips blending into gray mantle.
