Black Scoter (Melanitta nigra), Hardesty Building, Pima CountyThis Black Scoter was photographed by Andrew Core on 22 November 2013 This Black Scoter was discovered 22 Nov 2013 by Mark Stevenson and photographed by Andrew Core the same day. The rarest of the three scoter species in Arizona with about 20 accepted records for the state. Most records are of female plumaged birds.
