Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis), Alchesay Hatchery Road north of Whiteriver, Navajo County

Part of a flock of eight Eastern Bluebirds discovered and photographed by Eric Hough on 21 January 2014.

Appears to be the first record for Navajo County.  Since the 'Azure' subspecies of southeastern Arizona is regarded as resident and non-migratory, these birds would most likely be from the eastern nominate subspecies.

Orange-brown of breast extending up side of neck, lack of rufous on back, white abdomen, bright blue crown, back, and tail.
