Red-throated Loon (Gavia stellata), Lake Havasu , Mohave County

This Red-throated Loon was photographed by David Vander Pluym on 06 April 2014.

Presumably one of the three birds found in mid January on Lake Havasu and after a month and half of no reports refound in late March. Possibly the same bird present since October and reported intermittently since.

A casual late fall and winter visitor to Arizona, although it has been reported in the state annually for the past few years.
