Harris's Sparrow (Zonotrichia querula), Northern Arizona University, Coconino County

This Harris's Sparrow was found and photographed by Joe Crouse on 23 January 2015

Rare transient and winter visitor to the state, this sparrow visited a thistle feeder on the university campus.

Underparts whitish with dark brown smudgy markings along flanks and breast. Head and face warm brown with spotted crown. Bill large and pinkish orange.
