Common Grackle (Quiscalus quiscula), Sedona, Yavapai County

This Common Grackle was found and photographed by Stewart Boots on 27 November and 01 December 2014, and also photographed by Sam Hough on 27 November

There are almost 30 records for the state. This species has been expanding in New Mexico and may be expected to occur more often in Arizona in the future.

Iridescent blue head contrasting with bronzy back and and wings, stout bill, light eyes.
