Heermann's Gull is a casual visitor to Arizona from the Gulf of California and occurs nearly year round, but most records from late fall. Although there are more than 40 records of Heermann's Gull in Arizona, they are notorious for being one-day wonders. This is the second report of this species at this location this spring, three together were also reported earlier this spring in the southeast portion of the state indicates an incursion of this species into the state.

Uniform gray-brown plumage with a red based bill makes this species distinctive.
